Taranaki Mounga: Taranaki, the first ancestor of the iwi (tribe) Taranaki - with 'tara' meaning mountain peak, and 'naki' meaning 'clear of vegetation' in Te Reo Māori.
Forming part of our Mountain Collection, our Taranaki Maunga band features a hand-carved, depiction of the dormant stratovolcano, formerly known as Mount Taranaki, the second highest peak in Te Ika-a-Māui (North Island).
The ring has a minimalistic, squared edge, and comes in widths of 6 or 8mm.
Every band features organic, natural, textures, designed to mimic New Zealand's dramatic terrains and landscapes, which will continue to evolve, and take on added character, as it travels with its wearer throughout the years.
This band forms part of our ceremonial collection and will be handcrafted to your metal and size preferences. It is available in recycled 9, 14 or 18 carat yellow or white gold, platinum, or sterling silver.
