We offer inhouse resizing on all gold and selected silver Sophie Divett Jewellery rings. 

We can resize:

• Gold gem-set and engagement rings.
• Gold bands - with or without gems.
• Silver bands - no gems.

We cannot resize:

• Silver gem-set rings.
• Rings not made by Sophie Divett Jewellery.

Resize Pricing:

We offer a complimentary first resize on all SDJ gold readymade rings that are purchased instore and online. Please note that we cannot accept exchanges on readymade rings that have been resized - for more information on this please see our returns information page. 

For made-to-order rings, and subsequent resizing on readymade pieces, we charge $65, which includes shipping within New Zealand. For international addresses shipping is an additional $49.

These prices apply for adjustments of up or down by three sizes. For resizes by more than three sizes please contact us directly to arrange a quote here.

How to book a resize:

To arrange a ring resize, please select your required size, and resize type, from the options below.

Then package up your ring and send it back to us at the following address:

Sophie Divett Jewellery, 462 Colombo Street, Sydenham, Christchurch,8023. 

We recommend sending your jewellery back to us via tracked courier.

If you are in Christchurch, you can drop off your ring to us in person at any time, no appointment necessary. 

Lead time:

Please allow around five-business days, from the date we receive your parcel, for the resize to be completed. As soon as your resize is complete, we will send you an email with tracking information. 

How to know which size you require:

If you are in Christchurch, you can call past our shop anytime and we will measure your size for you. Alternatively, most local jewellers will measure your ring size for you as a complimentary service. 

We recommend getting your size professionally measured to ensure a perfect fit and that your ring needs to altered as little as possible.

How to know if your ring was readymade or made to order?

If your ring was an piece that was already instore, or listed online, as as a finished piece when you bought it, and you recieved it immediately, then it is readymade.

If we made your ring for you to your specifications, or was a custom design, then it was made-to-order. You would have had to wait upwards of 4 weeks for delivery of this ring. 

International sizing:

We use the UK / Australian letter-based sizing system. If you only have an international ring size, please refer to this size conversion chart here, and select the closest UK/ Australian letter size.
